Tehran to host Int’l Quran exhibition

The 25th edition of the Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition has been scheduled to be opened in Tehran on the first day of Ramadan.

The Communications Director General of the Culture Ministry’s Quran and Etrat Deputy, Abbas Nazarirad said the exhibition will run for 18 days.

He also noted that this year’s expo will be launched on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan which is on May 27.

The official said the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer ground) will host the Quranic event like last year every day from 6 p.m. until midnight.

Nazarirad referred to the motto of this year’s exhibition “Quran, Ethics and Life” and said the organizers have planned different programs in line with the motto.

He said the 25th edition of the event will have some different sections, including a special section named ‘A Quarter- Century of Quranic Activities’ which is dedicated to review the exhibition’s achievements in the past 25 years.

Another special program of the exhibition is paying tribute to three prominent figures who passed away recently; Ayatollah Ali-Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani, Ayatollah Seyyed Abdul-Karim Mousavi-Ardebili and Ayatollah Abbas Vaez-Tabasi.

Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition is annually held during the holy month of Ramadan by Iran’s culture ministry.

It is aimed to promote Quranic concepts and develop the activities related to the holy book of Muslims.
